| with the month of june closing the gba /sba/lba/ major competitions are coming to the final stages
shettleston bowling club had our pairs j mclachlen + peter brady loosing in thr semi finals of the sba district at blackhill
but brian bowers has won the sba district final and now will represent shettleston bowling club in the junior singles at northfield on wednesday 28th july @3.30pm
in the gba our under 45s lost in the semi finals
and in the lba our under 45s lost in the district finals at garrowhill (a .taylor r.kinloch
.s mcmillan d.mckenna
not our best season so far but plenty of competitions still to be played (ie ) gba triples -
gba top 10 - and gba 5 singles
also we lost in the qurter finals of the lanarkshire league 5 singles to colville park
our invitation fours was won by saltcoates bowling club
and our invitation triples was won by belvidere bowling club
the lanarkshire league commenced on 24/6/2010 GOOD LUCK TO ALL TAKING PART
our senior teams are going strong and are in contention the monklands and wilson leagues
a point away from bowling shettleston bowling club are contesting land ownership on the adjoining ground at the rear of the main hall
in our opinion a 3mtr strip of land has always been our property . but after the council houses
having been demolished in the area and shettleston housing association preparing to build on the area they are claiming all the ground up to our rear wall of our main hall
we have asked our solicitor to check our title deeds as to what the situation is concerning the strip which has always been used as the property of shettleston bowling club
